Women pray for peace at election time

Hundreds of Ladysmith women poured into a heavily-guarded Indoor Sports Complex on Thursday to pray for peace, protection and unity as preparations for the 2014 National Elections gather momentum.
Various religious denominations got together for the mass prayer session, which was hosted by Uthungulu District Municipality Mayor Thembeka Mchunu. Department of Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga, together with uThukela Mayor Dudu Mazibuko and Ladysmith Deputy Mayor Sindi Mfusi, were also present.
