Action packed weekend for our bowlers
Vryheid Bowling Club shares results and upcoming events.
OUR CLUB Handicap Singles were played on April 5 and 6, with some bowlers having to pick up nine shots to get even.
Not easy, but nonetheless, we saw some fantastic bowls played.
Well done to Estelle. Ilva tried for 32 ends, but Estelle just played brilliant bowls. Congratulations on a well deserved win.
The men also had some tough games. Soon finally took the cup. Well done.
The braai after the game was ‘lekker.’
On Saturday and Sunday, the KZNCB Mixed Pairs Play Offs were played in Harrismith.
Winners were our Northern’s Team, Noela and John and runners up for Zululand, Mike and Cheryl from Eshowe.
Please note, the venue for the Senior Fours on May 3 and 4 has been changed to Vryheid.
The SpecSavers Pro 10 Pairs is coming up. Please enter your teams as soon as possible.
The KZNCB Play/Offs will be held on June 7 and 8 in Empangeni and the winners from there will go off to Port Elizabeth for the big prize.
Remember the Midweek League has been moved to after Easter.
