On the morning of Wednesday, April 30 an accident occurred on the N3 southbound in the Nottingham road area.
A truck carrying a container overturned onto the road, resulting in two other light motor vehicles colliding into the overturned truck.
The truck and container obstructed both the fast and slow lanes.
Oncoming vehicles had to pass via the emergency lane, leaving that lane choked by traffic.
The paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services (EMS) immediately responded to the incident.
Arriving at the incident they found that of the six occupants in the three vehicles, only one person sustained minor injuries.
The injured were then transported to a local clinic to receive treatment.
The above mentioned incident is currently being investigated by the police.
