Burst pipe makes river in Limit Hill

Residents say that the water has been flowing down the road like this for three days

There is a burst pipe in Fifth Street in Limit Hill, with the water running down the hill all the way to First Street.

Residents say that the water has been flowing down the road like this for three days. They have not had water coming out of their taps for the past three days as well. They also say they have called uThukela, but nothing has been done about it.

“We haven’t been able to wash because we don’t have water. All the water is going all over the road here. We are sick of uThukela because they don’t want to help us. We don’t know what to do anymore,” says Limit Hill resident Sylvester Davids.

There are several areas that are currently affected by water outages.

uThukela have not yet commented.
