Sakekamer supports campaign to be ethical unashamedly ethical?

The Sakekamer recently held its monthly meeting where a campaign, unashamedly ethical was introduced.

Unashamedly ethical is a worldwide initiative that aims to turn the tide on corruption, while promoting clean living, ethics and the highest values in business.

The campaign was created as an online directory of businesses and individuals with a common cause. Signatories are held accountable by an ombudsman, who enforces the values indoctrinated in the commitment form. Unashamedly ethical also promotes fellowship between signatories, creating a database of upstanding individuals and organisations.

The community is divided into smaller divisions, giving members a platform to conduct their business with other unashamedly ethical members.

During the meeting, Sakekamer representatives discussed the up and coming Vensterfees set to take place in mid-August.

Attendees can look forward to productions such as Jou gat my skat, Die Naaimasjien, Affairs vir domkoppe and Doep is nie dood nie.

These productions were recently featured in larger festivals like KKNK and Innibos. A donation was handed over to organisers of the Vensterfees by the Sakekamer. Huyser Koch, organiser of the Vensterfees, made an urgent appeal to the public for donations. The cost of an event like the Vensterfees is about R350 000, with sponsors like Vulintaba and KFC making large contributions. While adults at the Vensterfees will indulge in cheese and wine, a magician will entertain younger audiences. There will also be plenty of handmade goodies for sale.
