Vryheid Landbou High School – Congratulating our sports stars

KHULA Radebe, we are so proud of you!
Khula has been chosen for the u/19 Northern KZN rugby team. The team is going to Reitz during the July holidays to compete against the other provinces.
Spheyena Dube is our netball star! She has been chosen to compete in the National Competition in Durban during the July holidays.
Spheyena, we all wish you the best of luck!
Sport activities for the third term: Cricket, volley ball and soccer – for both boys and girls.
Cultural: Our Speech and Drama Festival takes place in August. All the learners are working hard to prepare for this ever popular event.
The chess, choir and art practices will be in full swing.
Land Service, a national organization, is celebrating its centenary this year!
Landbou has a strong club, with 49 members.
During the July holidays, eight of our club’s members will attend the Provincial camp at Sweetdale on the KZN South Coast.
Mr Mthenjwa, better known as Batman, is an old scholar and one of the stalwarts on the farm. He will be accompanying the scholars.
Batman received his Springbok colours for Land Service in 2009. Enjoy the camp and all the activities!
Waste management: Ms Khonjelwayo and her team are growing from strength to strength.
The Waste Management team recently received six recycling bins, sponsored by MONDI. Mondi’s contribution is greatly appreciated by our school and we thank them for their generosity!
Mondi is also our support system for the Eco-schools programme. Once again we thank Mondi for enabling us to make recycling more efficient. The learners in the Waste Management team have painted the bins according to the prescribed colour codes, labelled them and have placed them at different positions on the school grounds.
