MEC to speak on National Health Insurance
The Department of Health in the Amajuba District has invited the public to attend the NHI progress report, Launch of Referral Policy Road Show and the graduation ceremony of traditional healers.

The National Health Insurance (NHI) programme has been under discussion within the ranks of medical professionals and residents alike for some time.
The Department of Health in the Amajuba District has invited the public to attend the NHI progress report, Launch of Referral Policy Road Show and the graduation ceremony of traditional healers.
The event will be held on July 8 at oSizweni Hall at 9am.
“The aim of this gathering will be to inform the public about the developments that have taken place in the NHI programme,” said Nonhlanhla Khuzwayo, spokesperson for the department.
According to a statement issued by the department, NHI was intended to be a way of providing good healthcare for all, by sharing the money available for healthcare among all people. ‘The benefits you will receive will depend on how sick you are,’ read the statement.
