Tragedy struck when a child was knocked over and killed by a motorist on Friday evening, July 4, in Section 3, Madadeni.
The incident occurred near the mall in the area, and it was believed the child was playing outside when the motorist allegedly collided with him.
The media spokesperson for ER24 said: “When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the lifeless body of the child in the centre of the road. He sustained severe head injuries. Evidence found on the scene showed that the child may have been flung about 20 meters from where the impact took place. SAPS on scene confirmed that the vehicle that collided with the child fled the scene immediately.”
