Police are investigating a case of murder, rape and assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm. The incident occurred at Madadeni on June 28 when two suspects assaulted a man and two women.
One of the victims was repeatedly raped while the man was knocked unconscious. A resident found the man the next day. He was rushed to Madadeni Hospital where he later died. One of the women, who sustained injuries to the head, spent the night in a bathroom, fearing for her life.
