Postman, Philani Masondo, also did his bit for Madela Day when he merrily skipped for 67 minutes at the Dundee Boulevard Centre.
This was done to not only promote Mandela Day but also to create awareness for an icon. Shoppers at the centre couldn’t help but be amazed at the skipping display as they walked on by.
Philani together with staff from Dundee Post office also used this day to promote their ‘Mandela Day stamps’. “These are no ordinary stamps as they cannot be used for postage and contain background information on Mandela as well as a photo of him,” Branch Manager, Mathambo Sibeko explained.
These stamps can be purchased at a fee of R50 from any Post Office.
