East Coast Radio is looking for you, smarty pants!

Are you a bit of a smarty pants? Or just a know-it-all kind of kid? 

Well, now you can prove it when the East Coast Radio Breakfast Tour comes to Newcastle.

On July 22 the team will roll into Newcastle, in preparation for their live broadcast from Village Walk the following morning. The customised big yellow tour bus will be escorted into town by a team of local bikers. 

Newcastle will be the fourth stop for the tour, but the big question is; are you ready for some fun, action and loads of selfies?

East Coast Breakfast with Darren Maule will broadcast their three hour show live from outside the Village Walk Shopping Centre on July 23. So come on down, meet the team, have a coffee and a muffin on them. Darren loves talking but he also loves stories. So tell him what’s special about Newcastle; what does our town have that the rest of KZN doesn’t? 

And for the brainiacs, East Coast Breakfast with Darren Maule is looking for a young Newcastle resident to take on The Grand Challenge during the live broadcast. 

Do you know your local history, landmarks and legends? Can your child teach you a thing or two about your hometown? Is he/she between the ages of 9 and 12? If so, SMS Smarty Pants, your name and area to 33116 to stand in line to enter. SMS’s cost R1.50 each. 

The notorious funny man Darren Maule will be doing a short stand up comedy show at Mid City Grill on July 22. His show is guaranteed to make you laugh your ‘peep’ off!

And that’s not the only surprise Darren has up his sleeve. The perpetual prankster has been caught whispering in his office at East Coast Radio, about plans to surprise Natarah in Newcastle. 

We don’t know what he’s cooking up, but we do know that whatever it is, Natarah isn’t likely to take it lying down. So you may be in for quite a treat, Newcastle!
