Home invasions and robberies have rocked the Rose Park and Van Riebeeck Park areas over the last two weeks.

A home invasion in Rose Park saw an elderly couple beaten and robbed in their home. The couple were so severely beaten that they had to be hospitalised. Three men were involved in the robbery.

On Sunday, a prominent Moulana’s house was robbed.

This morning (Tuesday), a house was robbed in Van Riebeeck Park. A large sum of money and jewellery was taken.

Police have arrested a single suspect they believe may be linked to one of the robberies. More arrests are expected.
