Watertables galore at Memel Walk
This year more than 70 runners will run the Marathon, compared to last year, where only 12 runners took part. The mountain biking event this year is set to take place over 60km, with more than 80 cyclists taking part.
The Blood Buddy Memel to Newcastle Walk sponsored by Paruk’s set the tone for a record amount of entries this year with more than 200 teams entering the event.
This year more than 70 runners will run the Marathon, compared to last year, where only 12 runners took part. The mountain biking event this year is set to take place over 60km, with more than 80 cyclists taking part.
The event will start at the Memel NG Church and will finish at Huttenpark Primary School.
Athletes and participants will be provided with ample refreshmenst, as there will be more than 20 water tables along the route. The Jenny Internet team, whose company is also one of the sponsors of this year’s event, will also be ensuring athletes are well taken care of.
Organisers of the event, Champ Marketing and their team, are working hard to ensure the 20th celebration of this year’s event will be a success.
