Update: Police seek information after hit and run
'He was in hectic pain, could not move at all. This not human.'
A man sustained several serious injuries yesterday, when he was hit by a bakkie during what is believed to be a hit and run incident, just before 1pm.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital by paramedics from ER24, who reported he had sustained multiple trauma injuries.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the vehicle was a white bakkie, registration and make unknown.

‘I was on my way home when I saw a man lying right hand side of the road on the grass. I stopped and asked him if he is ok and then he told me that he was hit by a white diesel bakkie from the right hand side of the road and they drove off without a care. He was in hectic pain, could not move at all. This not human. His mom and dad arrive and then we call ER, shame I really hope his ok.’
The investigating officer in charge of the case has also made an appeal online, urging any residents with information regarding this incident to contact him on 082 839 0019.
