Start up those engines

Northern Natal Mostorsport (NNMS) has been resurrected after a brief stint in the workshop.

Loyal fans and motoring enthusiasts can breathe a welcome sigh of relief, as NNMS plans its newest venture, hand in hand with CANSA.

Faizel and Razia Cassim, who have amassed national accolades as the country’s speediest couple on the tarmac, will be revving their engines in support of a worthy cause at this year’s CANSA Relay for Life (RFL) on October 11.

“We have always been about giving back to the community and to give our local racers a legal opportunity to spread some joy with the cars, and we want to once again give the community this opportunity,” explained Mr Cassim.

The club will host its first event in Newcastle after more than a year, and it promises to have residents gushing over pristine machines at the build-up to the RFL.

A Show and Shine competition, mobile Dyno test, and a day of spinning are just some of the highlights planned for the event.

“We have decided to take CANSA under our hoods after witnessing first-hand the devastating effects of cancer on patients and their families,” said Mrs Cassim. “We want to help and promote CANSA as much as we can,” she continued.

NNMS, true to form, will be bringing exciting twists to the event. This year, for the brave at heart, drifters will be giving fans the opportunity to go on a special ride.

All proceeds generated from the event will be donated to CANSA.
