NOFTA member turns 60

Turning 60 does not deter Lizy Kelly from serving the senior citizens of Newcastle.

From preparing meals, simply serving or assisting at Nofta’s new service centre, Mrs Kelly has carried out her duties to the senior community with a smile.

“I have enjoyed being a part of Nofta and its working committee. It has become my passion to serve the aged, and turning 60 is not going not stop me from serving them further. I would like to thank my children for supporting me all these years which enabled me to carry out this service” she said.

Mrs Kelly joined Nofta in 2005 and has served as a working member of the organisation for nine years. Nofta organised her 60th birthday party in gratitude for her faithful service.

“Lizy is a dedicated member and ever-willing to assist the organisation with in any way it needs, whether it be a simple weekly activity or a major function.” said Rajesh Ramdaw, Chairperson for the Nofta association.

The executive committee and all members of Nofta would like to wish Mrs Kelly a happy birthday and all the best in her future endeavours.
