Mpati challenge – a family fun day
For the adrenalian junkies there is the BMX pump track - this is the 'new cool', and the venue is the BMX track adjacent to the school.
A day of family fun and exercise is being planned for September 13 when the Biggarbserg Athletics Club and Springlake Colliery host the Mpati Challenge at the Dundee Junior School.
The big event is the Mpati Mountain Race which starts at 2pm. A fun run/walk will also get underway at this time.
But the day’s events will start earlier at 8am, with a mountain bike ride that includes a 35km and 20km route. There is also a fun ride that will start at 11:15am.
And if running and biking do not interest you, there is always the 20km horse-riding paper trial that will come under starter’s orders at 11am.
For the adrenalian junkies there is the BMX pump track – this is the ‘new cool’, and the venue is the BMX track adjacent to the school.
For the kids there is a junior mountain bike track, mini-soccer and lots to do. There will be plenty of food stalls to keep everyone full.
Prize-giving for the running events will be held at 5pm.
