R17 000 cash stolen from motor vehicle

A resident was robbed of R17 000 August 18 at 11am.

After leaving the vehicle in the mosque parking lot to purchase items at a hardware store, the vehicle’s windows were broken and the cash lying under the seat was stolen.

Residents are warned to remain vigilant when exiting a bank, noting how is easy it is to spot a person carrying a large amount of money. If possible, take a friend or colleague with you to the bank. Be aware of the people around you; if you suspect someone might be following you, call the police immediately. Lastly, stay calm and do not leave cash unattended in your vehicle, no matter what the circumstances may be.
