K9 unit nabs burglary suspect
The residents returned to their home only to find someone else already there.
Police K9 Unit have nabbed a 22-year-old suspect in connection with a burglary at Jade Avenue, Sunnyridge. The suspect was nabbed at approximately 11am this morning.
Apparently the occupants of the home went jogging and when they returned, they found the suspect on the premises. Neighbours apparently contacted police after hearing the joggers scream.
It is alleged the suspect used a screwdriver to force open the door. It is believed a laptop, cell phones and various other items were stolen.
Police later conducted a search of the Sunnyridge area and managed to apprehend the suspect. The suspect has been detained on charges of house breaking.
Police investigations continue.
