Victims robbed after withdrawing from ATM
The victim allegedly drove towards the back of the mall to make a delivery. While away, his bakkie was broken into and cash was stolen from behind the seat.

R26 000 was stolen in two incidents behind McDonalds and at Newcastle Mall respectively.
It is alleged that the first victim walked out of FNB and cash was thrown on the ground by the suspect. After picking it up, the victim walked with the suspect towards the back of McDonalds where she was tied to a tree and robbed of about R 6000.
During another incident, R 20 000 was drawn from ABSA Bank at Newcastle Mall. The victim allegedly drove towards the back of the mall to make a delivery. While away, his bakkie was broken into and cash was stolen from behind the seat.
Police once again warn residents not to fall for scams. When withdrawing money, ensure you always have another person with you. Never leave money in a vehicle; try and remove all valuable items before leaving your car and ensure the car is properly locked.
Be vigilant at all times and report suspicious individuals to the police immediately.
