At approximately 9pm last night, hundreds of residents heard a massive bang across Newcastle.
Windows rattled, hearts stopped and Facebook fired up, question upon question surfacing regarding the mysterious bang.
Two hours before the ‘big bang’, a plane crashed just outside of Newcastle, and many assumed the plane had subsequently exploded. Fortunately this was not the case, as many emergency workers were still attending to the scene.
Worryingly, the source of the ‘big bang’ has not yet been determined. Speculation ran rife, from ATM bombings to Chuck Norris doing push ups and ‘meth labs’ exploding in a post on a local Facebook page.
Local emergency services received no calls regarding the ‘big bang’, leaving many questions unanswered.
