Burglary spikes in Arbor Park

Police are investigating a series of burglaries cases in Arbor Park.
With five linked cases being reported in the last month, police urge the community to be on the lookout for suspicious activity in their area at all times
It is alleged the burglars break into homes during the day while the occupants are at work. Often throwing a brick through a window to gain access to the premises, burglars have been ransacking homes of electrical appliances like flats screen televisions, laptops, cellphones, DVD players and other portable appliances.
Two suspects have since been arrested and charged for the burglaries. The suspects are believed to be 21 and 23 years old. The 21-year-old suspect fell ill after his arrest and is currently under police guard at Madadeni Hospital.
Certain items have since been identified by the owners.
