WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT – Alleged ritualistic killings at Newcastle Cemetery

A site reserved for the dead is lying littered with dismembered chicken carcasses.

A horrified resident described how she and her family came across the unnatural scene earlier this week.

According to residents in the vicinity of Newcastle Cemetery, a white SUV arrived at the cemetery on Tuesday night at around at midnight. The residents, although curious, thought nothing of it.

Only the next day did residents come across 11 lifeless bodies of chickens, along with alcohol bottles, polystyrene cups, candles and a small bag of mysterious pink powder.  “My daughter was the first one to come across the carcasses,” explained the resident.

According to the resident, municipal workers were seen at the alleged ‘accursed’ grounds yesterday morning; however, the site remains untouched.

Residents speculate the slaughtering was a result of a religious or cultural ritual. A simple search revealed that chicken beheadings in cemeteries is largely believed to be for religious purposes or a method of ‘contacting’ the dead.

Congealed blood and candle wax made scene even more malevolent.

“It seems rather sinister and their behaviour does not seem to be normal. It is worrying that it is happening on our doorstep,” said another resident.

Upon closer inspection, the dismembered chickens weren’t the most spine-tingling thing on scene. Resting on an angelic tombstone lay a single black wing, eerily mocking the meaning of ‘resting in peace’. The only thing residents could stomach to say was, “This is evil.”
