Voting for the Best Mayor in a Local Municipality has begun and our mayor, Councillor Vincent Madadla, needs your vote.

To vote, you need to dial *120*459# and then select option 1. You then enter Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality.

Voting closes on October 8, 2014.

You can most probably think of 1000 reasons not to vote for our esteemed mayor. But before you do, think about what winning actually means for the town: the chance to leverage more provincial funds to improve Ladysmith, Ezakheni and Steadville. A small price to pay for a single vote.

So this vote is not really about how much you love the mayor or the job he has done, but about getting more government money spent in the greater Ladysmith area, where we, as a town, need it most!
