Suspects’ daring escape from Madadeni Court

Two suspects, one in court on a charge of murder, made a daring dash for freedom at the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

It is believed the suspect overpowered a court official who was returning him to the holding cells. He allegedly took the officials’ firearm and fled. Another suspect also joined him.

According to reports, the police fired a warning shot, after which the suspect dropped the firearm and continued to run.

Police managed to catch one of the suspects, while the other escaped.
