Putting the safe in ‘Safe CBD’
Action has clearly been taken after two chain grabbers were arrested by guards who grabbed a woman’s chain at a mall in the area last week Wednesday.
They see you walking down the street, the sun’s rays catching the glint of the gold around your neck. They watch carefully and in seconds, your prized chain is gone.
It might have been an anniversary present, or be of sentimental value; it makes no difference to them. All they see is the money it promises.
For years, shoppers have been plagued with the prospects of falling victim to the chain grabbers in the CBD.
The Safe CBD Project wants this to change, and they believe the best way to promote change, is through action.
Action has clearly been taken after two chain grabbers were arrested by guards who grabbed a woman’s chain at a mall in the area last week Wednesday.
The two suspects were quickly apprehended, and forced to turn over the stolen property.
Aside from the gold chain, other jewellery was also turned over by the suspects, taken from unsuspecting victims earlier during the day.
The suspects were charged by the police, and have come under the gavel of justice.
