Pro Nobis girl run-over injured
"The people who stopped to help were just wonderful..."

A Pro Nobis school girl, thought to be around 13-years-old, was run-over and injured this morning outside the school on Victoria Street.
Witnesses said the girl had stepped into the busy road and a passing bakkie narrowly avoided hitting her.
However, a taxi could not swerve in time and struck the girl. Fortunately a passing doctor stopped and assisted at the scene.
The taxi driver also pulled over. The girl was said to have suffered slight concussion.
Dolf Myburg, Pro Nobis principal, said the girl would be kept overnight in hospital. “She is okay but suffering from shock. The people of Dundee were just wonderful… the doctors who stopped, members of the public, the traffic police… really, everyone just wanted to help and we are just grateful that the girl is okay.”
