Amajuba Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) hosted the exuberant motivational speaker, Gavin Sharples during a dinner on November 5.
The completely sold-out event was testament to Mr Sharples’s popularity.
While poking fun at the audience, Mr Sharples described in detail how society needs to wake up from their slumber.
“People need to achieve their full potential. Creatively, and in all other aspects of life. Wake up and act now,” was his message.
Business people also had the opportunity to network and build relationships and further business prospects.
“Organisations like these are brilliant, because they help your town and community grow; it is excellent seeing businesses forming a united front to guide your town forward.”
ACCI chairman, Irshaad Peer, thanked the attendees and invited all businesses from Newcastle to join the organisation.
“We are determined to help Newcastle grow. We can not do this alone. We need to partner up as businesses, so we can help take Newcastle in a direction that will help the town,” he concluded.
