THE VRYHEID Lions Club members were the hosts for the last NKZN Zone meeting of 2014 on Sunday, the meeting being chaired by Zone Chairman Johan Scheepers from the Estcourt Club.
Held at the Lions clubhouse at Cecil Emmett, the meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the year past. “We would really like to thank the Vryheid community for its support during the year,” said Vryheid Lions President Teresa Seegers after the meeting. “The community’s support for our Mayfair enabled us, the Lions, to help many in need in the community. That is where all the money raised goes – back to the community.”
On behalf of the Vryheid Lions, she wished the community a very happy Festive Season, relaxing holidays and safety on the roads.
Lions President Teresa also thanked her fellow Lions for their support and all their hard work.
Another of the Lions’ fund raisers is the sale of Christmas cakes, and these are now available. These 1kg fruit cakes cost R75 each and are available by contacting 071 871 7251.
