Fenced in and flourishing

"Now the school grounds are secure, new trees can be planted for shade and the school can start growing crops as part of its education."

Ingwe Primary School near Ballengeich unveiled its brand new perimeter fence recently.

The fence was donated by neighbouring business, Quantum Screening and Crushing, in a bid to provide pupils with a safe, secure environment to work and play in.

“The new fence represents the beginning of what I hope will be a long-lasting relationship with Ingwe school. Roaming animals have been a constant problem for the school, especially at night,” said Quantum Managing Director, Christopher Way.

“Now the school grounds are secure, new trees can be planted for shade and the school can start growing crops as part of its education.”

The actual installation of the fence was completed by Rocliff Construction.

The community commended Quantum’s efforts and encouraged others to make a contribution to poorer schools in and around Newcastle.

The size of the contribution is irrelevant, as long as a difference is made.
