Kumon students excel

"I would like to make use of this opportunity to congratulate the following students for reaching the advanced student honour roll (ASHR). Well done, you can be very proud of yourselves."

CONGRATULATIONS to Quinton Verschuuren who finished Grade 12 last year at Vryheid High school with a distinction in five subjects, including Maths.

He achieved a lovely 91% for Mathematics. Quinton has been a diligent student at Kumon Maths since Grade 3, hardly missing a lesson and progressing up to level L at Kumon. What made this result so special was that only two matric learners in Vryheid achieved a distinction in maths and he was one of them. Well done, your consistent hard work and perseverance has paid off and we wish you all the best for your future at the University of Cape Town with your studies in engineering.

I would like to make use of this opportunity to congratulate the following students for reaching the advanced student honour roll (ASHR). Well done, you can be very proud of yourselves.

ASHR 1 (children working half a level above the International school curriculum level in Maths/English), ASHR 2 (children working two levels above the International school curriculum level) and ASHR 3 (children working three levels above the International school curriculum level): Muhammad Khan, ASHR 2 Maths and ASHR 1 English; Husnaa Jasat, ASHR 1 Maths; Tahira Sheik, ASHR 1 Maths; Ger Mari Kruger ASHR 1 Maths; Khuzaima Sheik, ASHR 1 Maths; Kayla Olivier, ASHR 1 Maths; Tayiba Sheik, ASHR 1 Maths; Mia Olivier, ASHR 1 Maths and Kamilla Haasbroek, ASHR1 Maths.

Congratulations to all those kids who have written achievement tests and have moved on to new levels. Well done!
