R50 000 reward for Malcolm Green’s killers
Since the murder at about 2am on January 5, successful evidence and information to lead to the suspects have not materialised
The suspects who murdered well-known Estcourt farmer Malcolm ‘Stick’ Green are still at large. The motive for the murder also remains a mystery and police investigators are still trying to piece together information to secure an arrest and conviction. But since the murder at about 2am on January 5, successful evidence and information to lead to the suspects have not materialised. Mr Green (69) was shot once in the abdomen when four men forced their way into his home at the family’s smallholding on the R103.
He passed away minutes after the attack. The suspects fled the scene in Mr Green’s bakkie, taking electronic equipment with them.
The Pietermaritzburg Organised Crime Unit is now offering a reward of up to R50 000 to anyone who may provide information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for Mr Green’s murder.
“Anyone who might have information that will assist in the investigation is requested to contact the Investigating Officers : Detective Warrant Officer De Wet on 082 556 1378 or Detective Warrant Officer Moses Gasa on 071 481 3446 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” commented police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker.
