Rapists in custody
She was found near a stream, her buttocks were badly injured that she had difficulty in sitting.

Two young men accused of the brutal rape and assault of a 60-year-old grandmother again appeared in the Glencoe Magistrate’s Court last Friday. The two remain in custody while the court awaits the result of the DNA tests and the doctor’s report.
The grandmother and her husband were alone at home in Sithembile in the early hours of New Year’s Eve when a young man knocked on their door on the pretext of being one of the couple’s sons.
When the granny opened the door, a young man demanded her money which she replied she did not have (any money). At that moment, another man entered the house, blew out the candle and both of the young men started assaulting the couple.
The granny was dragged out of the house towards an open veld.
The husband managed to raise the alarm and a search for the woman began. She was found near a stream, her buttocks were so badly injured that she had difficulty in sitting.
Her face was also badly bruised. Police were called in and the two men arrested.
The savage attack caused outrage and there was a protest outside the Court when the men made their first appearance in January.
