Daniela desperately searching for her dog, Oliver, after horrific car smash

Daniela had to be forcibly carried to the ambulance to receive attention as she wanted to know about her dogs. Amazingly, she suffered only three broken ribs and other light injuries despite the fact that her car was a complete wreck.

Daniela Biddulph had an amazing escape when her car was hit by a truck on the N3 near Ladysmith.  But her miracle will only be complete once she is reunited with both of her beloved Labrador dogs.

Daniela, who works with Doc Plankie Fourie in Dundee, but lives in Newcastle was travelling from Ballito back home last Thursday, April 9.

“A truck hit my car from behind.  The airbag exploded rendering me unconscious.  As my car had been spun around, I was hit by an oncoming truck and dragged for about another 3km before the driver stopped. ”

An ambulance was called and when Daniela regained consciousness, she only wanted to know the whereabouts of her two dogs.

Both Oliver and Bella had fled the scene – terrified.  Daniela had to be forcibly carried to the ambulance to receive attention as she wanted to know about her dogs.  Amazingly, she suffered only three broken ribs and other light injuries despite the fact that her car was a complete wreck.

She is now desperately looking for Oliver.  “He is cream in colour and neutered. He is micro-chipped but was not wearing a collar at the time.  ”  Daniela cannot have her own children and for her, these dogs are her children.
