Endumeni to enjoy a warm weekend before cooler weather arrives
A warm weekend in the Dundee area will give away to decidedly colder conditions as another cut-off low moves in.
Dundee residents can expect a warm and mostly sunny weekend before a noticeable cool change moves into the area from Tuesday.
Saturday, September 12, is expected to be mostly sunny and warm, with temperatures reaching between 26°C and 27°C. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 12°C to 13°C, with light winds of between 15km/h and 20km/h.
Sunday will remain sunny and pleasant, with the mercury again reaching around 27°C. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to about 12°C, with little chance of rain.
The warm conditions will continue into Monday, although partly cloudy skies are expected. Temperatures should reach around 25°C during the day, with an overnight low of approximately 12°C.
A cooler change is forecast from Tuesday, with daytime temperatures dropping to between 18°C and 21°C on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is also a chance of light morning or passing showers during this period.
The mercury plunges further on Thursday (13 °C) and even lower on Friday with SAWA predicting (so far) a maximum of 10 °C.
