No bail for alleged paedophile
The alleged paedophile and child molester has not been granted bail, following his court appearance last week Thursday (April 9).

The alleged paedophile and child molester has not been granted bail, following his court appearance last week Thursday (April 9).
The reasoning behind denying bail given by the magistrate included the safety of the affected children, and the possibility that the accused could commit further offences.
The investigating officer in the case, Constable Du Plessis, said the suspect had previously been accused of two similar transgressions involving children under the age of 12.
He explained to court previous charges had been dropped due to missing evidence and the inability to secure witnesses.
He also produced evidence on the drug Androcur the suspect had allegedly been using.
Androcur or Cyproterone acetate is a drug that has been approved for use by sexual offenders to reduce their sex drive. The drug affects the user’s adrenal glands, and stopping the use thereof abruptly could have various effects.
The drug reduces androgen production in the gonads, which leads to a lower sex drive, but depending on the patient it could result in the over-production of testosterone.
The suspect is expected to appear in court again in May.
