Sod turning ceremony for school hall at DSS
The construction of the hall at Drakensberg Secondary School will commence within the next three weeks
Drakensberg Secondary School held a sod turning ceremony for their hall on April 24. The school is building a hall, which will be used for the school activities such as the assembly, examination venue, prize-giving functions, school drama programmes, indoor sport, etc.
The Divine Life Society of South Africa will construct the super structure at its cost.
The Spiritual Head of the Divine Life Society of South Africa, Sri Swami Sahajananda, was born in Estcourt on July 10, 1925. He was a learner at the school, and after qualifying as an educator, he returned to teach at the school before relocating to Durban.
The Divine Life Society of South Africa has thus far concluded over 500 projects for the poor and disadvantaged communities, which include schools, clinics, housing, colleges and peace and multi-skills centres around the country.
The construction of the hall at Drakensberg Secondary School will commence within the next three weeks.
