ML Sultan Estcourt participated and excelled in the South African Choral Eisteddfod on April 29 and 30. It took months of hard work and practice on the part of both educators and learners in order to be fully prepared for the competition.

22 schools from the Uthukela district participated in various categories of Prescribed and Own Choice Music. ML Sultan Estcourt scooped first position in three performances rendered by the Foundation Phase. The Intermediate and Senior Phase also captured second position for their efforts in the Prescribed Music. The choir carried home a total of six trophies for their sterling performances.
