Having learnt about butterflies and other insects in class, the St Gregory Primary grade twos were taken on an exciting outing to Butterflies for Africa in Pietermaritzburg, this allowed them to enter into a butterfly’s environment.

Learners were taken on a guided tour, walking amongst the butterflies while learning a bit more about the different types and their life cycle. Along the way various other insects, birds and animals such as the green iguana were spotted.

Learners were also given the opportunity to interact with the Cotton-top Tamarin monkeys. It was a day thoroughly enjoyed by all.
