Vryheid Landbou High School – Watering seeds to growth
The grade 11 learners, who have Agricultural Management Practices, also had the opportunity on Tuesday, May 12 to visit neighbouring farms and put their theoretic knowledge into practice, by participating in various activities that included the harvesting of maize. Our sincerest thanks to Mr Smit, Mr Hanekom and everyone else who made it possible for our learners to partake in the above-mentioned activities.
LANDBOU has experienced a week full of activity that included the learners of the school.
On Thursday, May 7, almost 30 learners took part in the science Olympiad. The choir also had a camp which started on Friday, May 8 and lasted until Sunday, May 10. The choir also had the privilege to have Mr Khumalo join them in their camp activities. We would like to express our sincere thanks to him for taking part in the camp and also for the valuable input delivered.

Landbou’s grade 12 learners also visited a career exhibition which was held on Thursday, May 14. Landbou would also like to remind all current and prospective parents and guardians about the Open Day which will be held on May 30. Please be advised when coming to the school that parents and guardians need to have the following documentation with them: two (2) ID photos of the applicant, copy of the LATEST report, a certified copy of the Birth Certificate as well as certified copies of the ID’S of parents or legal guardians. The applicant should also bring a pencil case with him/ her. We hope to see you all there!
