Musical mavens make magic

After months of preparation and practice, NHS hosted a Musical Extravaganza at the school hall on May 8.

Once again, Newcastle High School proved it is a school of opportunity.

After months of preparation and practice, NHS hosted a Musical Extravaganza at the school hall on May 8.

The line-up on the evening included dance routines, poem recitals, solos and instrument ensembles, proving just how talented the pupils really are.

A diverse compilation of items captivated the audience for two hours.

A definite highlight was Senzo’s rendition of Lady Soul, which he dedicated to his loving mother in the audience.

Kobus Odendaal was acknowledged for doing an excellent job with the sound and lighting on the evening. Saratih’s Décor was in charge of the draping of the hall and foyer. Needless to say, the venue looked amazing.

The school thanked Mrs Well and her committee for their countless hours of hard work in putting together a wonderful show!
