Realtor’s golden donation

It is a challenge to run a school with limited resources, particularly maintaining buildings and classrooms.
Staff at Pam Golding Properties understand the challenges schools face, and identified Amajuba High School to be the first beneficiary of their community initiative of the new financial year.
During the month of April, Pam Golding Properties, in partnership with clothing manufacturer, Junit Manufacturing, arranged a “flawed” fashion bonanza, selling repaired, factory- flawed, fashionable, garments to the community.
Garments were drastically reduced in price, and especially chinos in different colours were immensely popular.
Pam Golding families did their share in making the day a success, and last week Friday, handed 60 litres of paint to Amajuba High School, which will be used to give at least four classrooms a much needed makeover.
Principal of the school, Oscar Hartung, took Pam Golding principal and real estate agent, Sam Wade, and Jacqueline Lach on a tour of the school before graciously accepting the donation.
“You can see the school management tries really hard with the upkeep of the premises with very little financial assistance, so we are only too happy to help,” said Miss Lach, project co-ordinator.
“The school needs a lot more paint. Some classrooms haven’t been upgraded for a long time and the entire exterior of the school needs to be painted. It would be wonderful if local companies that perhaps are in the paint business, would consider taking up the challenge to assist this school in completing the painting of the exterior,” she suggested.
“This project was just one of a number of community projects we have planned on our calendar for the year, and we are eager to involve the Newcastle community in our initiatives,” concluded Mrs Wade.
