While Estcourt police patrolled the Central Business District (CBD) on Friday, June 5 at 3pm they noticed a suspicious looking man carrying a black bag. Police approached him and requested to search him. Upon searching him police recovered a pocket knife  and dagga in the black bag he carried with him. The 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to the police station. The man appeared before the Estcourt Magistrates Court on Monday, June 8 for being in possession of a dangerous weapon and dagga.
