Monument athletes break records at KZNCSSA Championships
The athletes returned with an impressive 64 medals.
Monument Primary School is celebrating an outstanding performance after 97 of its athletes represented the school at the KZNCSSA Championships with determination, passion and true sportsmanship.
The athletes returned with an impressive 64 medals, consisting of 18 gold, 22 silver and 24 bronze.
The strong medal haul was complemented by several record-breaking performances, giving the school even more reason to celebrate.
New records for Monument athletes
Grade 7 athlete Lunele Ndaba set new records in both the 60m and 80m events.
Mpumelelo Mapumulo, from B6, also set a new record in the 60m.
Melokuhle Mbele was named Victor Ludorum for boys U/6-U/9, while Abelwe Selane delivered an impressive performance in the girls’ U/6-U/9 category, finishing third overall.

The school congratulated every athlete who competed and gave their best at the championships.
Their hard work, dedication and commitment continue to inspire the Monument Primary School community.
