UPDATE: Motorcyclist badly injured in collision
The driver of the vehicle escaped injury.
The intersection of Allen and Victoria Streets were partially blocked earlier today after a collision between a light motor vehicle and motorbike.

The motorcyclist was not as lucky and sustained moderate injuries.
It is suspected the injuries he sustained might be much more serious, and he was been taken to Madadeni Provincial Hospital for further evaluation.
UPDATE: the patient suffered a badly broken bone in his leg, and is currently being treated at Madadeni Privincial Hospital.
The cause of the accident is unclear at this stage. However, the intersection is monitored by CCTV cameras which could reveal what occurred.
Police are investigating further.
