One person died and five others were injured

One person died and five others were injured in a collision between a bakkie and a minibus on Friday, June 26.

The incident occurred at around 11pm at the intersection of Sutherland and Murchison streets. The deceased was a passenger in the minibus, and was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the minibus and occupants of the bakkie did not sustain serious injury.

One of the drivers allegedly skipped a red robot, but the cause of the incident is still under investigation.

Police arrested one of the drivers.
