Cleaner, greener Dundee General Cemetery
Dundee Cemetery no longer a grave sight.

Dundee General cemetery has received a major clean up and is no longer a grave sight.
This comes after 19 people were employed to maintain and clean the cemeteries in Endumeni.
Among the workers a security guard was also employed to keep vandals at bay.
The new workforce are yielding positive results and have mowed the lawn, trimmed the hedges, picked up the piles of litter previously at the Dundee General cemetery and even removed the old fences.
The reason for the removal of the fencing is believed to be in preparation for the erection of new fences. Assistant Waste Manager, Patrick Ndlovu confirmed this and stated “the old fencing was removed as new fencing might be in the pipeline”.
Patrick Ndlovu however added that, “though their is a possibility of new fencing it is not yet approved.”
Meanwhile all systems are in place for the completion of phase two at the Burnside Cemetery in Glencoe.
Phase two which consists of the completion of the fencing at Burnside will commence as of September 1.
