We are members of the National Council of SPCA’s of South Africa (NSPCA). Our SPCA covers a vast area and looks out for the interests of domestic, farm, working and traction animals, animals reared for consumption, wildlife, animals used for entertainment and exhibitions, as well as animals used in sport and for research.

We don’t turn any animal away. No matter what the breed, condition, age or reason for animals being brought to the SPCA, we’re here for them, day and night, and we’re on call 24/7 to respond to rescues and emergencies involving animals.

If you’re looking for a new pet, please visit the SPCA rather than a pet shop or breeder. Not only will you save a life – when you adopt a pet from the SPCA you know you are getting a healthy animal. SPCAs do not give away animals, pets are adopted from the SPCA.

Issues taken into consideration before an animal can be adopted include any other animals on the property, any chaining or unreasonable confinement of animals on the property, the ages of any children plus the new owner’s ability and willingness to give the animal the time and attention it will require.

All pets have to be sterilised before being allowed home with you. If you are adopting a very young puppy or kitten, you will need to commit to bringing the animal back to be sterilised when it is older. Our adoption fees include health check, sterilisation, de-worming and first set of inoculations.
