Louwsburg FWI competes in Newcastle

FWI GROUP Competition, with theme Rainbow Nation, was hosted on April 16 by the Strelitzia branch in Newcastle.

Louwsburg FWI wants to thank Strelitzia for their dedication and hard work to successfully host this day.

Many hours was put into the preparation and finalisation of the competition items – crochet, embroidery, needlework, arts, flower arranging and many more.

Congratulations to the winning individuals in each category:

Needlework – Bettie Van Rensburg; Chrochet – Marietjie Wright; Knitwork – Elize Duvenhage; Embroidery – Elize Duvenhage; Art – Ronel Nortje and Debbie Darrol; Bottled -Joey Kilian; Baking – Judy Kruger; Adult Education – Strelitzia; Flower Arranging Beginners – Girly Dely; Intermediate – Yolanda Steenkamp; Advanced – Iona Wood.

To the overall winning branch, Strelitzia (Newcastle) with 669 points, second place Louwsburg with 662 points, and third Scheepersnek with a total of 660 points, very well done.

Groupday 2016 will be hosted by Louwsburg and competition theme will be “Mengelmoeskardoes”.

Louwsburg wants to wish all the participants the best of luck on competition day. We trust that everyone is already busy with their planning and preparation of the competition items.
