Saints make a difference for Mandela Day

18 blankets were donated to the Enhlanhleni Care Centre.

Winter is now a little bit warmer at Enhlanhleni Care Centre, thanks to the Relief Society Sisters.

The Sisters, as they are more commonly known, are part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Together with family members, they did their bit for Mandela Day by crocheting 18 blankets which they then donated to the centre.

Susan and Paul de Klerk, together with some of the Sisters, handed over the blankets to a very jubilant, Nora Buthelezi.

Work on the blankets began in April and were completed in time for winter.

Two more blankets will be completed soon and also donated to the centre.
